ABOUT MORELIA

Morelia, the capital of the state of Michoacan, is the home of the Monarch butterfly wintering grounds. It is located in the beautiful mountainous central highlands of Mexico, approximately four hours west of Mexico City. The climate is almost perpetual spring and the air is crisp and clear. With a population close to 1,000,000, Morelia is a cultural and historical center and is surrounded by small villages famous for folk artisan products. It has some of the finest colonial architecture in the World.
