COPC - ANNUAL REPORTS & EVALUATION REPORTS
The most important collaborative research entailed the formative evaluation of the Community Outreach Partnership Center. The second year of activities involved an outcome evaluation. As the Center evolved, other research projects have developed between Eastern Michigan University and our Ypsilanti community partners.

The evaluation of the COPC entailed two formal feedback mechanisms: (1) a brief, semi-annual survey of all university and community participants, and (2) a semi-annual focus group, each led by two Board Members, one from the university and one from the community. The instruments covered the activity and nature and intensity of involvement and the evaluation of process. The evaluation plan and the draft of the instruments were shared with the Advisory Commission at its first meeting where members provided feedback on the study design.
Results of these findings were used to improve program management, strategies to enhance partnerships, to strengthen relationships with the community, and to design, develop and implement a more rigorous second evaluation.
